§ 101-6. Limitation of speed; main arteries of travel.

    No person shall operate a motor vehicle upon any of the streets or highways of the Village of Lake Success at a rate of speed in excess of 20 miles per hour, except that a rate of speed not to exceed 30 miles per hour shall be permitted on Lakeville Road, Route 25-D, also known as Little Neck - Old Westbury Road, and the extension of Route 25-D, known as Lakeville Road, and on Marcus Avenue.
    B. 
    Where the speed limit for vehicles is reduced as indicated by signs posted on the said streets, highways or public places, it shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate any vehicle of any type whatever between such signs at a rate of speed greater than that stated on such signs. Such signs shall be as described in the Schedule of Traffic Signs, Part 1.
    C. 
    Lakeville Road, Route 25-D, also known as Little Neck - Old Westbury Road, Bates Road, Westminster Road, Old Field Lane and Robbins Lane are hereby designated as main arteries of travel. All vehicles approaching such main arteries of travel shall, before entering the same, come to a full stop if indicated by a sign, unless otherwise directed by a peace officer or signal.
